How do insoles and orthotics work?

Bespoke orthotics and insoles are custom-made devices designed to support and align the feet, improving foot function and overall biomechanics. Tailored to an individual’s unique foot structure, these devices help alleviate pain, correct foot deformities, and prevent injuries.

The creation of bespoke orthotics begins with a thorough assessment by a podiatrist, who examines the foot’s structure, range of motion, and how the foot interacts with the ground during walking or running. Based on this assessment, the podiatrist takes an impression of the foot, capturing its precise shape. This information is used to design and manufacture the orthotic, ensuring a perfect fit.

These custom devices help distribute pressure evenly across the foot, reducing strain on muscles, ligaments, and joints. Unlike over-the-counter insoles, which are generic, bespoke orthotics are specifically crafted to address individual issues, making them a more effective long-term solution.
