Shakira graduated in 2016 with a BSc in Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation and has over 10 years experience in the industry.

Shakira is also trained in Body Zest’s Pain Prevention Programme. This means, she works to the highest standard when assessing and diagnosing patients, and forming management plans which aim to reduce symptoms and prevent them reoccurring in the future.

Shakira loves working with the general public and sees a variety of conditions. She is passionate about her client’s health and wellbeing and works hard to find the best solution to assist their return to full fitness. This is often achieved through beneficial hands-on treatment, accompanied by corrective exercises. Watching her client’s transform into happier and healthier versions of themselves is the most rewarding aspect of her job!

In the last two years, Shakira has qualified in additional therapies such as; dry needling and cupping. These therapies can be effective when dealing with pain, muscular tension, and any restrictive movement. They complement conventional sports massage brilliantly.

Shakira has always been interested in healthy eating and how the body processes different types of food. In her spare time, she loves strength training, road running and swimming. She also enjoys exploring different countries, cultures and expanding her palate… she loves her food!
