Difficulty moving pain free?
Struggling to complete the activities you want to complete because of pain or stiffness?
Want to restore your body to it’s optimal level of mobility, strength and flexibility?
Tired of the NHS merry-go-round? Maybe you’ve been put on a waiting list or just fobbed off with generic exercises?
If any of these apply to you, our Osteopaths are here and we can help!
-
This is the most common question we get asked.
And honestly, it depends!
Osteopaths and Chiropractors complete a similar course of training and have some crossover in techniques and principles to treatment.
However, if we’re forced to generalise, Chiropractors now choose to focus more on spinal adjustments (clicks) and spinal mobility than Osteopaths do.
However, you could see a Chiro who doesn’t click, and an Osteo who does. So, it’s not a rule, it’s just a generalisation.
Osteopaths can also vary greatly between practitioners. As is the case with physiotherapists, chiropractors and many other professionals.
So, until you’ve seen the two practitioners you want to compare, it’s very hard to say. What we can say is, our Osteopaths will never perform a spinal adjustment on any patient who is not sure about that treatment. We’ll always have an honest conversation with you first, to make sure you’re happy. There are lots of alternatives to those techniques, which are just as impactful for restore movement in joints.

Our entire Osteopathy team is competent at handling a wide range of conditions and presentations. You read a small amount about each Osteopath on their page via team page. Whoever floats your boat, you’ll be in safe hands.
-
Your first time seeing an Osteopath at Body Zest will begin with a consultation and examination process. Before treating you, our Osteopaths will diagnose your problem and develop a treatment plan. If you’re happy with the treatment plan, your Osteopath will begin treatment during your visit.
-
Your Osteopath will set out how many sessions they expect to need before a point of reassessment or discharge. We’ll always do our best to outline what our expectations are and make sure we’re fully transparent.
For new problems, patients often need much less treatment than more chronic/long-term issues. However, if your new complaint is because of a long standing joint stiffness, your pain will likely go away quickly, but it’ll take longer to fully resolve the root cause.

Why choose us?
Exceptional hands-on treatment.
We’ll never just send you away with exercises.
No lengthy treatment plans designed to maximise profits.
We always focus on dealing with the root cause and make sure you understand.
